Description:
This is in my opinion the best of the open clusters. It is both extremely rich and large. I first saw it with a 60mm refractor and it even looked spectacular through that. It is elliptical and, through the 10", there is a double-arrowed dark stretch devoid of stars in the middle. There are also two bright red/orange field stars. Easily pivked with the naked eye
