Description:
A faint, uniform, round nebulous halo which shows no detectable brightening
toward the core.  Steadily visible with averted vision at 128x, it began to
fade into the background at 193x.  While several additional galaxies are
plotted inside the same 128x (34') field centered on NGC2340, none save
NGC2340 itself could be seen.
