Data: mag - size -
Position: RA 21:00 DEC +44:
Description:
North America Nebula. At 78x using the OIII the small part with the Golf of
Mexico did show streaky filament structure falling into the dark cloud. That was
really striking! Details in the upper part of 7000 are more subtle but, still apparent.
The nebula is no more a uniform glow but resolved into brighter patches along
with numerous dark clouds. Easy to see also the Pelican Nebula with its typical
shape. NGC7000 was also visible in my 8x50 finder! The Nebula complex was just
15-20 deg above horizon when I observed.
