Description:
Todays good conditions showed the nebula in its full beauty through the
TVNagler 13mm and an OIII filter. With the numerous stars embedded in M17
and "unreal" detail, M17 looked almost like a photograph. Surrounding the
brighter part of M17, arcs of faint nebulosity were visible. The bright, long
bar of M17 resolved in to stunning filaments of variable brightness. The whole
view was almost 3D! Wonderful!
