Sky darkness: 5.5 <Limiting magnitude>

Object(s): M 75
Category: Globular cluster.
Class:
Constellation: Sgr
Data: mag 8.5 size 4.6'
Position: RA 20:06 DEC -22:
Description:
Very dense cluster with a diameter of approx 4'. At 342x only a few stars are
resolved in the vicinity of the cluster's edge. The brightest stars are
catalogued with 14.6 mag. M 75 shows a very bright center with a small 30"
core. Nice.
Seeing fairly small, faint Messier objects like M75, I always wonder why
Messier
did not includ so many brighter globulars located in the area Sgr, Oph.
