NGC274; Mag 11.8, Size 1.5' X 1.0', RA 00:51, DEC -07:03.5
A uniform oval halo which is slightly elongated NE-SW.  It rather abruptly
brightens to a fairly bright, stellar core.  NGC275 is located just off the
SE edge.  Visible with direct vision at 80x, it was best seen at 200x.

NGC275; Mag 12.5, Size 1.0' X1.0', RA 00:51, DEC -07:04
A uniform round halo which shows no detectable brightening toward the core.
NGC274 lies just to the NW.  Visible with averted vision at 80x, it was
best seen at 200x.  NGC273, plotted ~10' N., could not be seen.
