(meteorobs) visual satellite observing




In the course of a night's observing, I generally see any number of artificial 
satellites crossing the sky. I usually use them as a mere distraction to get 
back some mental alertness, but apparently visual observation of even the faint, 
"everyday" ones can be quite valuable! Here's a pointer to more info...

SeeSat-L is a newsletter for visual observers of manmade earth satellites.
Just so you are not misled, it does not normally post topics on meteors.  In 
fact, the post you refer to was off topic.
