Lew, As to possibly misaligning meteors by observing around 60 deg above the horizon. Well, I don't notice any problems doing it. I use a 2 foot long cord and when I see a meteor I align the cord to it. Seems no problem to me. They sometimes don't come out right exactly to the radiant, but close enough to count it if everything else is kosher. George
