Re: (meteorobs) halitosis vs. mosquitoes

Thanks for getting the scoop from your wife, George. It saved me wasting money
on the garlic extract, not to mention annoying my girlfriend! I'll try Bounce...

BTW, just a quick note from my Everglades observing days:
Mosquitoes are especially attracted to two things - heat and CO2. So if you let
them get you flustered, or if you're wearing too MUCH clothing, you're in
trouble. Other Southern (or former Southern :>) observers should confirm this,
as everybody's body chemistry may be different: But I found it was best to keep
as cool and relaxed as possible, even wearing just shorts, until the bugs were
clearly starting to pay attention to you. Then once you do start putting clothes
on, you should quickly cover as much exposed skin area as possible.

PS: The same's true of deep-woods Off. Don't put it on until you have to start
covering your body! Something about it must increase my body temperature, or
else change my breathing, because when there are only a few mosquitoes around, it actually seems to attract them to me!

Clear (bugless) skies,
Lew
