(meteorobs) Limiting Precision

As Gary pointed out, it is hard to believe that a visual observer can
claim to estimate meteor speed to +-10 Km/sec. Although this is hard to
believe, it is even harder to believe that an observer can claim an average
limiting magnitude to two decimal places, like 6.76, etc. Even the best
variable star observers can only do good to +-.1 magn. Isn't this a case
of limiting precision. Shouldn't these numbers be rounded off to be more
realistic, so that instead of claiming 6.76 magn. you would round it up
to 6.8, a more realistic number.
