Re: (meteorobs) Fireball Rates in New Zealand

Hello George,

Fireballs over New Zealand: look for the other side of the Earth where
all these satellite orbits tend to cross each other also.

Sun's solar cycle and meteor rates: It is my understanding that not so
much the altitude of a given pressure level is important, but the density
gradient in the upper atmosphere: a more gradual increase in density will
cause a more gradual ablation and decelleration so that the meteors do
not become so bright on average for a given mass and entry angle and velocity.
