(meteorobs) July 18 Observations

-- [ From: Robert Lunsford * EMC.Ver #2.10P ] --

It was another super clear night but activity was down by 1/3 compared
to yesterday. I recorded 51 meteors during the 4 hour session. 10 early
Perseids were again seen coming from a radiant on the Cassiopeia-
Andromeda border. 3 meteors were also seen from the radiant near Eta
Persei and Delta Cephei.

Neither George or I can observe the next 2 nights so we would
appreciate it if anyone with clear skies could monitor the Perseus
region Friday and Saturday mornings.

The humidity was low (25%) creating a very transparent sky. It was
difficult to see the beam of my white flashlight. Stars were bright
right down to the horizon. It would have been a near perfect night
except for the fact that George managed to step on a big stinkbug
creating a stench that enveloped the site the remainder of the night.
Nice going George!
