I view it the same way Lew. What I try to do is not pay attention to the
clouds and plan the observing session just as if it is clear. Then after
waking up, if it's cloudy, I spend time trying to catch up with other work.
I then check the sky every 30 minutes for clearing. If it does I go out. If
not, I work till about the last possible hour, then if still cloudy, hit the
sack for just one more hour of sleep before work. With the clouds I get
here, it's too bad I can't include these type of nights in my yearly Teff!

But an advantage I have here is I also can travel by foot in 75 seconds to
my observing site... ;)
