Hi Marji, welcome aboard!

Concerning your observation of the bright meteor, it is possible it was a
fireball as Wayne mentioned. There is a standard form to use when making
reports of fireballs. Just in case you see another one, you might want to
get a copy to see what is needed. One place to find a copy is the NAMN home
