That's pretty neat, Mark.  I have never heard of such a clock being sold on
our side of the ocean, although someone who digs through the astronomy
magazines might know of one that I don't.  To make up for this lack on the
commercial market, I have seen some people build their own 12 VDC battery
powered clocks for use in observations.

On what frequencies is the time broadcast in Europe?  Also, what type of
display do these clocks have?  I am wondering if the clock you mentioned
would be usable with the USA and Canada time broadcasts.

Even if the frequencies are the same,  I would also need to find out if the
pulse encoding is also the same for the different time broadcasts.  A
European clock may not be able to understand the American broadcast language
(sounds like people, doesn't it?).
