The new flourescents are different. They only require a small amount of
light (say during the day) and then they actually are of a red color or the
orange type. The new innovations that have been seen in technology shows
are finally coming true and with the newer software packages starting to
catch up (Skymap is one I have used with my hunting)I would like to see if
we can give the right information to the right people before they build the
stuff. Your information has been most helpful to me and I hesitated in
replying about this idea. However this is something that has been in my
thinking cap for about a year now. (Since I saw the geology map)
For these types of inventions to be useful and correct they will certainly
have to experience plotting by hand, but even then the need for you will
actually grow greater. The best tester is one who has had to achieve
results in the face of all obstacles.

This is an example of what I mean you should get out there and try plotting
to see what kind of problems you will have. I once painted a little
measuring device that I was trying to make with fluorescent paint so that
seeing in the dark would not be a problem. The problems I encountered were
at least these: You have to keep shining a brite light on the painted
object
about every 30 minutes to keep the paint glowing. The other problem was
that
while this object glowed, it produced a constant interference to the eye
while observing. When it's very dark, any little glowing lite to one's
periferal vision is a very big distractant.
