(meteorobs) "Earth & Sky" on the Perseids this week!

The "Earth and Sky" science radio program has devoted this entire week to the
upcoming Perseid max! If you're not already familiar with this excellent daily
radio program, they are syndicated to NPR and other stations throughout the
country, and provide a daily dose of hard amateur science to the general public.

They have a Web site, which this week contains a very nice write up of the
Perseids by none other than Robert Burnham, of Handbook fame! One of their shows
this week even talks about the possibility of observing *MARTIAN* meteor showers
with one of the planned Martian lander cameras. (Neat idea!)

I've already written congratulating them on their choice of topic, and putting
in a plea that they mention Gary's and the NAMN's Web sites. But email them
yourselves and let them know how YOU feel about meteors in the mass media! :)

The Earth and Sky Home Page is at:

and their email addresses are:
	cluther@earthskydot com, EARTHANDSKY@EARTHSKYdot com

Thanks!
