Re: (meteorobs) Observing Standards

Lew,
If You want me off the list...go ahead and take me off if that is your
desire. But I see nothing harmful in the words I used...just frank and
straight to the point. If you are offended by the words "a lot of
babel"...sorry about that...but the wording carries a meaning...if you don't
see this, I don't know what to say...perhaps "wildcating" or "Lone Wolfing
it" would explain it just as well. In reference to "get out"...this means if
your experienced efforts are purposefully counter to what is accepted, you
are only muddying the pot and have no business adding more to be cleaned up
later.

As for the two observers associated with the Goverance of IMO...Wolf and
McBeath...their duty as a council member is not to tear down the IMO method
by publically acknowledging they are going contrary to accepted standards of
the organization that they suppossedly lead. They should discuss it...pro
and con it and present it to the council for discussion etc. ..but not openly
indicate that they are violating the accepted method and that it is okay to
do what you want irregardless what they are suppose to teach or represent. I
consider it irresponsible on their part as IMO council members...actually I
should say Graham Wolf's part since McBeathe hasn't confirmed anything one
way or the other.
