(meteorobs) Sept. 12 Observations

-- [ From: Robert Lunsford * EMC.Ver #2.5.1 ] --

I observed with George again this morning and had an active 4 hour
session. The first hour was busy with 23 meteors seen; 6 were DAU's and
all others were sporadic. Only 1 DAU was seen during the second hour
plus 1 Piscid and once again 17 sporadics. The last quarter of the
second hour and the entire third hour were strange. After an hour and
45 minutes of constant activity the skies became still. After seeing a
sporadic at 10:11 UT a gap of 17 minutes occurred before the next meteor
appeared. No, I did not fall asleep! After seeing a 2nd magnitude SPI at
10:28 another gap of 12 minutes occurred. George missed the SPI and had
a gap of one half hour with NO activity. For the remainder of the hour
activity was seen at 10:55, 10:58, 11:01, 11:08, 11:16, 11:20, and 11:26
. During the last full hour (11:30-12:30) activity returned to normal.

Activity from Triangulum and Aries was low. Only 2 meteors were seen
from Aries and 1 from Triangulum. Only 2 DAU's were seen after the
initial hour of 6. Once again activity was noticed from near Capella and
Taurus. 3 meteors were seen coming from the Capella region and 8 swift
meteors were seen from a radiant near 64 (4:16) +19 in Taurus.
