I usually lay out in a lawn chair with my small tape recorder in hand and a
clock on my stomach. I briefly look down as the clock (which has a button
operated light) as I record all the data into the tape recorder. It is funny to hear my comments later..... Sometimes I only chceck the time at certain
intervals and speak it into the recorder, so I know how many meteors occurred
within a certain period of time, not the exact time of each. This method has
worked well for me.
