Re: (meteorobs) sporadic cycles




Wayne's wonderful incendiary comments relate to another question I had re: 
sporadics. Much is made of the inability to distinguish low-activity visual 
meteor showers (as opposed to radio or telescopic showers) from the sporadic 
background. To what extent then should the meteoroids which contribute to 
sporadic rates be viewed as a composite of many small (but otherwise normal) 
streams that the earth passes through, versus "non-stream" material, e.g., 
primordial (protoplanetary) dust, impact debris, or interstellar material?

And how does studying sporadic cycles contribute to answering this question?
