   These showers are perfect examples of showers that are known to exist,
yet have variable rates from year to year. The Kappa Aquarids are distinct
because of their slow speed; so even though you may have a ZHR of only .5
you will still be able to sort them out from the sporadics.
   The Sigma Orionids seems to also have variable rates. Some years, they
will stand out (ZHR > 4), and at other years they are almost none, or they
are lost among the morning sporadic meteors (which are often fast).
   These are the category III showers that the ALPO Meteors Section uses
for classification of such meteor showers. The Aries-Triangulids, which we 
tried to confirm this year, is also a ALPO category III shower.
