Have any of the expert far-northern observers on the list tried using the "Lava Buns" microwaveable seat cushions for those long winter meteor watches? I kid you not - I just saw this item mentioned in sci.astro.amateur, and heard of someone who sells them! They apparently get preheated in the microwave for five minutes, and then keep their heat for hours afterward... Clear skies (and warm... well you know), Lew
