Thanks for sharing your method, George. Like Kevin, I've generally tried to do 
the "arms length" method of photographing from my lounge chair, without looking 
away from the sky for any long stretch: I generally have the tripod as low as it 
will go for stability reasons anyway, but it still never quite works.

I am confused by one thing, though - for some reason I'd always thought that you 
generally do shorter exposures of 5 to 15 minutes. Was I wrong, or do you have 
some kind of long-timer mechanism for your camera, so that you don't need to 
flip the release after 15 minutes?
