COMMENT:- October was characterised by a waxing crescent Moon around
the time of Orionid maximum.... there were plenty of rainy and cloudy
days, also. So far, there have been several electrical storms, gales,
and heavy showers throughout November, but it is hoped that the weather
will improve over the next week or so, for the Leonids. Will try to
observe from November 15-20, at about 14h - 17h UT (early morning NZST).

Good luck for the Leonids where-ever you may be. Tereska and I send you
all our very best wishes. We had a fantastic Guy Fawkes display in the
Wellington Harbour at 8:45pm on the 5th. It was also Fred Whipple's 90th
birthday.... so we had TWO reasons to celebrate.

Bye for now, fellow meteor workers!

P.S. Tereska was discharged from hospital a few weeks ago, and appears
to be managing fine, with a little help me. We have been going out
quite regularly, and I hope this weekend to introduce her for the
first time, to the Night Sky. Astronomy is NOT the most important thing
in my life!!! No prizes for guessing what IS!
