Wayne,

You mentioned that any color you noticed in the Leonids were subtle. I
agree, this is the case for most meteors. There are those rare bright
meteors that present genuine, no doubt about it, color. I am talking
about the emerald green, sapphire blue, topaz orange, and so on. These
exceptionally colored meteors are rare and awe-inspiring but believe me,
they do occur even to those who rarely see color.
