(meteorobs) Reference source

George et al -

An excellent source of reference material is the Observers Handbook, published
annually by the R.A.S.C., Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. It's available
world-wide, and can be ordered through the R.A.S.C., or through Sky & Tel, and
is available in many bookstores.

On page 6 of the 1996 Handbook, it tells how to report discoveries - with e-mail
address, mailing address, and phone numbers. The 1997 Handbook is available
now.

It has a calendar of astronomical events by month, and a wealth of info on
general astronomical data, time zones, optics, exit pupils, the sun and planets,
eclipses, asteroids, meteors and comets, variables, deep sky, etc.

(For even more info on comets and meteors, the Handbook of the B.A.A., the
British Astronomical Association, is great. I usually order both. The B.A.A.
Handbook has to be ordered directly from the B.A.A.)
