(meteorobs) Geminids 13/14 Dec.




The real miracle was that it cleared off in Portland, after thunderstorms
on the morning of the 13th and off and on weather all day.  I was forced
to observe from the suburbs, as I didn't want to risk running into fog in
search of darker skies.  Fog threatened, but mostly froze rather than
messing up the sky much.  Temperatures were in the mid-20s (F), but I
didn't really feel the need to tend to the monkeys.  Meteors were slow at
times (esp. after reading people's reports from the 12/13th), but a couple
of nice fireballs made up for it.

soon as I catch up on my sleep.
