My 2nd nite of observing the 1996 Geminids on Dec 13/14 were again with clear
skies all nite. My LM's for each observing period was near 6.0. The last
period having an LM average of about 5.8. Observing for 8 Teff hours. The
nite was a little warmer...in the high 30's. The wind was a little bit of a
nuisance though. This nite I saw about 70% of what I saw the previous nite.
I recorded a total of 266 Geminids with data gathered on a total of 354
meteors. I also saw some brilliant Geminid fireballs...something that I
lacked the previous nite. Including a brilliant white -8 near the radiant
with an unusual 5 second train. The Geminid overall train production is
usually around 4%. I also recorded two -5's and three -3's.
