About a possible Honduran meteorite fall:

Well, if you think of it, meteorites have at least one property that
can pose a threat to humans; their value.
Some Mars-meteorites were recently auctioned for a price of 1500-2000
US$ per gram.
Weird people would probably go to extremes to obtain valuable pieces.
"The great Honduran meteorite slaughter of 1996." :-)
