re: (meteorobs) Not again....
I managed an hour of Teff last night...temp was -12C. I know I'm a wimp,
but I just don't have the right clothes yet. Capped that off with 20
minutes drooling at Hale-Bopp (ooh it looks like it's gonna be good), with
an additional treat of a +1 meteor right next to it through the binoculars.
(Sorry Malcolm, I was pretty lost since twilight was brightening the sky
and I couldn't see enough dim stars to get my bearings.)
Cathy, have you seen Hale Bopp yet this year? If you saw Venus and Mercury,
you were looking in the right direction, if a bit late :-)
Wayne, who thinks his mail is OK, although weird things are happening today.

Oh, no! Not again ;)
Thanks for the chuckle though - forecast here is for another 15 cm. of snow,
maybe mixed in with some freezing rain tonight. I managed to see Venus &
Mercury the other morning <in a gap in the clouds>, and the crescent moon
and
Saturn the other night <before it clouded over>....
I have hopes for clear skies sometime soon.... temperature for the weekend
is
slated to go down to -24 C, which is promising... I have seen <1> meteor
so far
in 1997, looking out the window on New Years Eve, after my babysitting
charges
had gone to sleep....
