(meteorobs) Hale-Bopp from Phoenix

We were out in North Mountain Park Saturday morning between 5:30 and 6:30 AM
MST, and Hale-Bopp is actually naked-eye visible (if you stare hard enough)--but
much better with binoculars. Pretty good for a sky where city lights wash it
out to the point that the only stars visible in the near vicinity of the comet
are Antares, one dimmer star just above the comet, and Venus and Mercury off to
the right. One meteor (0 to +1) streaked past Mars about 6 AM leaving a yellow-
range trail almost half the length of Leo.
