I just quickly looked at Hale/Bopp this morning before having to leave from my house in La Mesa, Calif. The comet still looks grand. with my 14X100's, I can see a longer tail now under about 4.8 sky. It appears to be about 2.8 degrees long. As for magnitude, I've noticed no change in that as of the last 4 or 5 days...I have it around 1.5 or 1.6. The south side jet is still cranking it out.
