Interesting that you noted the ion tail had grown, Wayne. Are your skies somewhat dark? (Or at least darker than 4.4!) I get the impression that the surface brightness of the ion tail is constantly changing, and just minor variations in my sky glow (like 4.9 last week vs. 4.4 this morning) make a big difference in its appearance...
