Jonathan, all comets eject material.
That does not mean it's self destructing any faster than any other
comet.This is normal, for a comet that reaches this distance from the sun.
All comets, by the fact that we can see the coma and tail are "self
destructing"....ejecting mayerial into space. When you say it is self
destructing, that implies that it is breaking up, which is not (yet) the
case. Please do not confuse people by stating that it is.
