Re: (meteorobs) H-B, Evening and Morning

And to rub it in frt/ further, I saw it this evening for the first time
in months (me and mornings don't agree unles I;'m doing a Messier marathon..)
I started looking at 6:15 and finally spotted it about 10 minutes later. It
was OBVIOUS to the naked eye even from our not-so-dark campus. I promptly
set the 16 inch Cassegrain on it, waited until 7 (actually 6:45) and then started
funneling up my own students and then everybody else I could find lurking
around the Department. By 7 it was really nice to the eye, the tail was
a good 1.5 degrees and it was BY FAR the brightest thingg in the area.
Throiugh the scope at low power the tail curled off to the left extending
way our of the fild/ field and the coma was weird'y shaped (sorry, no
expert descriptions like my colleagues). But it was neat neat neat! I can't
wait to start the public viw/ viewing sessions.
