Hi, Darryl. The International Dark-sky Association (IDA) has a Web site at:
http://www.darksky.org/~ida/index.html
From there, you should find plenty of links too. IDA has a package of information they'll send out to prospective activists, and I BELIEVE they'll even try to get people to your area to help you make a presentation!
