(meteorobs) April 13/14 observing

Well, had a full observing night last night. Started out with taking a 40
minute snapshot of Hale/Bopp with the 200mm. Don't know if the moon will do
much to this exposure or not...but had no other choice but to go for it. I
couldn't see any ion tail at all thru the 14X100's...Again, don't know if
this is due to the moon or not. After a couple hour nap, I started a meteor
watch from 1 am to 5:15 am with near 6.0 skies. Activity was as
expected...slow. Plotted 25 meteors. Did see a dazzling -5 very fast sporadic
with a 4 second train. I'm pretty sure I captured it on film. It was dead
center in my camera's field of view. I also had the rotating shutter
operating. Should have an interesting picture in store. I will be out there
again tonight. Tomorrow I will develop the portion of film for last night and
tonight. Hopefully I'll capture another fireball to go with the one I already
got?
