Jonathan, you should follow up your suspect object with some experienced observers from your local club! Posting possible comet discoveries to meteorobs is certainly not be the best way for you to get them confirmed, and could possibly cause a problem for some of the subscribers. What you should probably do is check out some of the Web sites related to confirming and THEN reporting potential astronomical discoveries.
