In Peekskill it was a 26 pounder...a lot bigger than a 2-3 lb meteorite. It
did penetrate the trunk...missing the gas tank. Though judging from the
report it could have done damage if it had.

No...I don't bet...but would be highly surprised if a 2-3 pounder would
penetrate to a gas tank under a car.

Are you saying that it would cause an immediate explosion? Again, I would be
very , very surprised.
