A free falling object will reach terminal velocity after X time.
I think the accelleration is 60ft/sec/sec, till +-120mph.
So wether you drop it at 3000 or 100,000 ft, it will hit the ground at
the same velocity, dent the car, kill the driver, crack the pavement and
snap the San Andreas Fault.
