FYI, I will probably be speaking about meteor observing on July 12th
at the NJAA for the general astro public, and there should be a training
class in June for our novice observers. If you're interested (which it
sounds like you are), I'll be sure to let you know when the dates firm up.
I have to make sure I don't conflict with other major events; our Standard
Saturday night public night isn't too bad, but the if there's going to be
masses of people all night, the constant traffic drives me bonkers. For
those nights, I go to my campground site up by the Deleware Water Gap.
Actually, if you live in Catskill, maybe we ought to find a dark sky site
near you for use at times !
In any case, if you are interested, I'll find Catskill on the map, and
plot an intergalactic route for you to intercept the observatory when you
so desire.
