Meteor Observations July 29/30, 1997 George Zay

I recorded meteor data on the night of July 29/30, 1997 under clear skies
with an  average Limiting Magnitude near 5.9 from my observatory in Descanso,
Calif. I observed for a total of 4.75 hours beginning at midnight local. I
recorded a total of 117 meteors with the brightest being a -2 S. Delta
Aquaird. The break down of active showers is as follows:

S. Delta Aquarids = 29
N. Delta Aquarids = 11
S. Iota Aquarids = 5
Alpha Capricornids = 13
Perseids = 20
Piscis Austrinids = 3
Sporadics = 36
