(meteorobs) The Real Aug 4 Meteor Observations

-- [ From: Robert Lunsford * EMC.Ver #2.5.3 ] --

Ok gang, I goofed. The last set of observations sent out titled Aug. 4
was in fact data recorded on the 5th. Talk about lack of sleep! Here is
the actual Aug. 4 meteor observations:

I observed for 4 hours this morning with George Zay from the Descanso
Observatory. Activity was not as good as expected with 80 meteors been
seen under skies than averaged a limiting magnitude of 6.45. The
Perseids were twice as strong as the SDA's but still well under the
sporadic background. The highlight of the night was a nice -3 yellow,
trained South Delta Aquarid shooting right through the Great Square of
Pegasus and caught on film by George's camera.
