Glad the max was such a success in the West, Bob! Sounds like a show worth
any amount of trouble this last week... Here's hoping Wayne got similar
weather where ever he is this week!

Thanks, Bob. I was completely washed out for the max last night: I was
ready to drive up to 200 miles, but couldn't find a clear spot on the loop
as of 10pm EDT (0200UT). I guess that makes four major shower maxima in a
row washed out for this "long suffering" New Englander: GEM, QUA, LYR,
PER... (sniff) Well, I'll just look forward to the Quadrantids this Winter!!

Tonight I should be out for some post-max observing, though! Just to help
motivate me, I wondered if there were any currently outstanding research
questions which observations on the nights just BEFORE and AFTER the max
might help answer?? Is there any question about the structure of the
'background' component to the PERs, for instance? Help me out here, y'all. :)
