Dr. Binder, it sounds like you've designed a pretty sophisticated computer
interface for your meteor recording! One thing which I've always thought
would be the IDEAL form of computer recording is very limited voice
recognition: speak the words "mag one perseid fast wake blue DCV 20 degrees
ursa major" into a microphone plugged into a DSP board on your laptop, and
have that limited vocabulary recognized and stored as text (even in
IMO-standard format!) in a file. Have you ever considered trying something
like this?
