My Dance of the Planets software says for my location in New Caledonia :

for the first one 8th of June, 2004 beginning around 16:00 local time
(05:00 UT) until sunset for us but theorically until 22:30 local time
(11:30 UT)

for the second one 6th of June 2012 beginning around 09:30 local time
(22:30 UT the 5th) until 16:00 local time (05:00 UT)

as these transits are separated
by 8, 121.5, 8, 105.5, 8, 121.5, 8, 105.5 ... years and the preceding great
gap was 121.5 years long, if you miss the ones of 2004 and 2012, you will
have to wait until December 2117 !!! On the 17th of this month I will
celebrate my 157th birthday -:)

I woke up at 4AM but still cloudy.

Meteor observers Murphy's law :
- when you are on vacation, there are :
1/ clouds
2/ full moon
3/ sometimes both (great deal)
