(meteorobs) Leonid fireballs



I read with great interest the SPA Meteor Section Results from the last
Leonids in WGN. A -5 fireball observed by Nick Martin was described and it
was emphazised that the train formed a head which looked like a comet
after some minutes. This was also observed by Swift (Swift-Tuttle Swift).
I observed the same feature on a fireball during the 95 Leonids which was
seen by some fellow Norwegian amateurs too. Is this typical for Leonids
and could it be explained by some physical effect?
