(meteorobs) Re: Jonathan

I tend to aggree with Conrad. Freindly advice rather than criticism
would be of greater assistance to Jonathan and the mailing list. We
all have to learn, all these witty 'one liners' back and forth is
not good for this sort of mailing list.

Sure the fireball he seen may not have been -15, but if he's never
seen one of any brightness over -4 or -5, what does he have to gauge
it against (I know you can estimate it against the moon, but that is
difficult for an inexperienced observer) The first time you see a
brilliant fireball or bolide is breathtaking and exciting, in my
early years of observing I probably would have got carried away
too. The same goes for plots. At least he's out there trying, even
if he can only get experence in the evening, no ned to can him for
it.

Other observers with more experience should be encouraging
Jonathan. Young observers are our future

Keep on punching Jonathan. Any queries or questions before you post
'meteorobs' in the future your welcome to email me in person for
advice. I'm happy to help. Same offer for Conrad.

Not a lot of observing for myself lately. Bad weather,
expecting wife, you all know the trot. There are some I'll get
around to posting ASAP.
One coment however on the issue of double trains. I've seen a
few of the type talked about (segmented train). Anyone seen meteors
which have produced 'paralell trains'. I've seen only one from
almost 5000 meteors and know of one other observer who has seen
one. Just curious on the mechanism of production of this.
