(meteorobs) FWD: Orionid Observations

FORWARDED by Lew Gramer for Adam Richard Marsh <riker@net2000.com.au>:

The nights of 23rd and 24th of October provided quite alot of good
observing. After 4 cloudy nights right across the max of the
Orionids, we finally saw some light at the end of the tunnell. A
clear night !!
Our section director Roger Vodicka and myself traveled out to a site
we have about 70kms out of Melbourne and proceded with a visual and
phographic partrols. Three hours each and about a dozen photos. We
used a 12mm fish eye setup to photograph and may have caught a few
on film. Have to wait and see how that goes. Streams observed
included some minor southern streams and others. Included were:
Rho Cetids (Rho Cet), Gamma Doradids (Gam Dor), Taurids (Tau),
Orionids (ORI) and the Puppid/Velids (Pup/Vel).
The next night I also observed from mu home, plotting all meteors.
Same Streams as above. Not a bad two nights. I plan to observe
tonight also (weather providing)
